Grandparents Visit and Cherry Blossom Parade
My parents were here for a visit last weekend. We went to the Cherry Blossom parade which was so much fun! It was a huge parade -- over 2 hours! Marching bands from all over the country, floats, huge balloons and more... here are some pictures. The last picture is a link to a web album -- they are mostly different pictures. I've never tried that before and want to see if it works...

The Business of Being Born
I just finished watching this AMAZING documentary called "The Business of Being Born." It was produced by Rikki Lake. It is very similar to the book I reviewed a while ago "Pushed". It examines birth in the United States and is very interesting (to me anyways!) I highly recommend it.
Here is the website:

It is on DVD now, and netflix has it -- that is how I watched it.

I'm back!
Ok, so I've been on a hiatus for about a month and a half now. I guess I just haven't felt like blogging for a while. I think about it now and then, but I have been in more of a reading mode now for a while (it drives Mike crazy!) Anyways, spring is starting to arrive here and with that a boost in spirits.
So with renewed energy I decided it was time to at least get some new pictures of Marisol up.
As I start this blog Marisol is watching a recording of American Idol. She loves that show -- that's my girl!

We bought Marisol new shoes about a month ago and the first day she wouldn't take them off -- She even slept in them! :-)
This was taken on Easter day.
Marisol and Mike hanging out together on the couch.
Nils wearing Marisol's bunny ears -- An easter gift from Aunt Stacie.
Marisol reading in her chair in her favorite attire... nothing!
Marisol and I went on a little daytrip to watch my cousin Tristan play soccer. He's number 8.
Marisol took this picture of my Uncle Al. Not bad!
Future "ball" player :-)
