Looking for our Easter Baskets!

So this is a long video so don't feel obligated to watch ;-) It is more for family who would actually be interested in watching Marisol search for Easter baskets - all 9 minutes!

Enjoy!

March

March was a busy and fun month! It started out cold and by the end spring had definitely sprung. I picked some of my favorite pictures of this month to share.

We lost power one day due to high winds and it was C O L D in our apartment. Mike went to work and we escaped to the library for a few hours.

Marisol's favorite thing to draw on her doodle pro right now - a dinosaur!

Wearing daddy's survivor buff as a dress and eating her favorite snack right now, popcorn.

Bath time!

Popcorn for everyone -- her wind-up toys from the toy store next to daddy's work. She has two dinosaurs and Gerry has a monkey that does back flips.

Gerry sitting in his high chair and trying some "puffs".

Elephant parade! We waited of over an hour...

Elephants in front the Capitol.

Ponies too!

Ger-bear gets to try out the stroller in the museum.

Dinosaur bones!

Overnight visit to our friends the Ginsbergs! We had so much fun!

Circus!!!

Play date with Josie and Sam

Cherry blossoms in front of our old building, 4000 Tunlaw

What a great month!

Lost and Found Uni

A few weeks ago we had an awesome afternoon with our friends at our old condo building. When we got back home it was dark, cold, sprinkling and we could only get a parking place that was pretty far down the street. So I got the stroller out to get Marisol back home. Ger-bear was on my hip, I hung our orange bag on the stroller, and I pushed with one hand. Marisol's fav stuffed animal Uni was in the bag. This was Wednesday night.

Cut to Thursday morning. We're in the midst of our normal wake up routine. Marisol's watching TV and I'm drinking my coffee and reading my email. Marisol asks where Uni is. I say I don't know, where did you have her last? Did you hide her last night? I search the apartment, which isn't huge and don't see her anywhere. Still, I don't think much about it - I mean I am TERRIBLE at looking for things - she could be right under my nose. Plus Marisol has created "beds" everywhere for her babies, which means there are blankets everywhere. I continue to look under beds (real and not so real!) When we have no luck, Marisol and I run out to our car to see if we left her there, even though I am 99% sure I took her out. No luck. Now I'm getting worried... maybe with all the juggling of stuff and kids she fell out of the bag. But how did we not notice?? She is a big Unicorn!

I tell Marisol that maybe someone picked her up for us to keep her safe and warm. Marisol cries, "But I'm her owner!" Other than that and a few other worried comments about Uni, Marisol kept it together fine. I was more upset then her! I suggest making a sign and putting them up on our street and Marisol thinks that is a great idea. Here is our pretty sign:

The next afternoon Marisol is in the middle of a project - painting herself!

Ger-bear thinks, "what is my crazy big sister doing?!"

In the midst of this exciting project my cell phone rings. I get excited, maybe someone found Uni!! But I don't say anything to Marisol... sure enough, someone put her on a neighbor's porch, yay!!

Can it be? Is it she??

Reunited at last!

Hanging out with her favorite pals
