Sunday Afternoon
Babies, basketball, bathing suits,
Birds, breeze, being... Beautiful.
Scent of wood-chips and lilacs fill my nose,
Sun and breezy shade take turns
alternately warming and cooling my skin
Big white puffy clouds
patches of blue poking through
leaves move on trees, reminding me
of the movie "Phenomenon"
Birds singing their carefree tunes
All different, still together
making an outdoors song
Man trimming his yard farther off
The buzzing adding its own rhythm
to nature's calming background
Kids running, laughing,
fighting for turns
"Helping" Daddy wash the car
Lessons in Patience and Love,
and Loving What Is,
Abound.
