First Week
It was a good first week of babysitting. Man, did it seem long though!! I know I just have to get used to "working" again and Marisol and I both are adjusting to the new schedule. Overall, things could not have gone better though. Baby J did GREAT. She is 9 months old and took really well to Marisol and I. She went right down for all of her naps and really hardly cried at all this week. Marisol is doing pretty well but has her moments of jealousy, grabbing etc. She also had moments of sweetness. Kissing, patting Josie, saying, "honey, it's ok!" Too cute. I also told her that they are "like" sisters, but Marisol took that to mean that she is the "big sister" and the baby "little sister"
Here are some cute pics from the week.
Marisol passed out Monday afternoon after not taking a nap at a decent time. She had a bit of a rough time the first afternoon.
Calm after the storm. Aren't they cute?
Baby J smiling and happy!
My little lovebirds.
Lunch in bed with Daddy.

Pictures and Updates
Mike and I had our 5-year Anniversary on Saturday August 9th.
What did we do? We went to a football game as a family!
Marisol enjoying the bus ride from the parking lot to the stadium. $40 to park! Oh well, the tickets were a gift.
Here are the flowers that Mike got for me:
Marisol took this last picture of me with the flowers
Here is the cookie cake that I made for Mike:
I was really impressed with myself! It looked really good and the texture was great (I cooked it just the right amount of time). But the taste was off. I trusted a recipe I found online for Chocolate peanut butter cookies that used LEMON cake mix. I should have gone with my instincts. Oh well, it's the thought that counts I will just have to try again.
Other things that we have been up to -- an overnight visit to our good friends in VA. Here is Marisol in her swimming gear. It is GREAT because she can swim without me holding onto her! It only took me half the summer to convince her to wear it
Here are a couple of pictures from our fun adventure/bike ride to Arlington National Cemetary:
Then my parents visited on their drive down to Florida. We did the same thing -- bike ride and cemetary. It was a beautiful day!
I've started to babysit again and am actually happier, saner, and more productive the past couple of weeks because of it!
Who wouldn't want to sleep with this cutie (Marisol, not me!)?
