Enjoying our new home
Having friends over and eating on the patio!
Ms Katie enjoys the outdoors too!
The following series takes place all on one day:
Marisol and her babies all cozy on the new couch and watching a DVD.
Rainy days are still fun when you have the proper gear!
"Making Orders" - a game involving ties, scarves, or bags... you pick a color crayon, get one piece of paper, "write" the order and match it with an article... and, voila! You have completed an order
A portrait of mommy by marisol
Make up time! Marisol doing mommy's makeup...
The result, beautiful!
More orders and makeup...
All in a day's work!

The Big Move!
So two weekends ago we made the big move to our new apartment. We love it! Mike was a trooper and did so much of the moving himself on Friday. Then my parents came down and were a huge help with moving and playing with Marisol on Saturday and Sunday. All the pictures are courtesy of my mom because I was way too busy to bust out our camera. You can see that we made lots of progress just that weekend though! And now a week and a half later we are pretty much settled. There are still things to do but it already feels like home.
Here are some pictures of the general chaos that occurs when you move things into a new place.
Here are some by the end of the weekend:
And HERE is our (well our landlord's technically, but still we get to use it whenever we want!) nice backyard, with patio and grill
If you go to the back of our yard there is a gate that leads to a place where a trolley used to run. Then there are woods behind that. If you walk about 5 houses down you are in the parking lot of a great playground - so we practically have a playground in our backyard now! While my parents were here we also discovered some really amazing artwork on a path in the forest --there are wind chimes and huge mobiles made from everyday things... lots of mirrors... here is a picture - it is pretty amazing. I found out later that it is my neighbor just 2 houses down that makes them.
And fun at the playground with grandpa:
Getting really adventurous!
Marisol's favorite! The swing!
Grandpa pushes me HIGH! And I love it!

Birthday and Charlottesville and Music Class
So June started off with a bang! Friday the 5th was my 31st birthday and we had a fun day/weekend. Marisol and I met Mike for lunch.
From there we drove to Charlottesville, VA to visit our friends Rebecca, Noah, and Ben. We had such a fun time with them! We stayed overnight and went to a playground with a spray park which Marisol loved.
The next week we had our last week of music class and I took some pictures and videos to remember it. We have gone to this class for almost a year and a half now and won't re-enroll because of our move and the baby. We had a lot of fun with this class and our teacher Miss Patti!

Avalon, NJ
Beach + Family = Lots of Fun
We took a Ferry on our drive to Avalon, and got on just in time to see a beautiful sunset!
Marisol LOVED being on the boat - it was the perfect "rest stop". We got to stretch, eat, and use the bathroom... and we never actually stopped! You can't beat that!
Watering the plants
Playing with sticks and rocks... add some shells later in the weekend and who needs toys?!
Aunt Laura and Marisol check out the boat and the dock while Crackers and Birdie watch
What a view!
Lots of hugs for Grandpa!
We had Beautiful weather for the beach
Mommy and Baby #2 :-)
Who had more fun, Marisol, or Laura and Susan??
Sandy Beach Buns!!
Warming up with Grandma
Look at the awesome castle we made!
Mike humors me and lets us get a picture together :-)
Playing in the sand is serious business!
Heading home... someone has a nice ride!
Sunday morning Sunrise
(I've been having some sleep issues lately!)
Daddy trying his luck at skateboarding -
This is just before he lost his balance and barely caught himself!
The following portraits were taken by the very talented photographer-
Marisol Grace May -
She has a style that is all her own!
Timmer and Aunt Laura
Grandma
An interesting perspective of Mommy's face -
especially her nostrils and teeth!
Looking good Daddy!
What to do when you are stuck in a diner for over an hour before the food comes??
Well obviously you must ORGANIZE everything -
jellies, sugar packets, shakers, creamers, silverware... it's all fair game!
Riding the bike with Grandpa
Chillin' in our hole
Burying Marisol!
The beach is tiring!! And a bit chilly when you get wet too...
Passed out...
What a great weekend!!
